Undelete Wizard

In the Windows operating system, whenever you delete a file or a folder and you empty the recycle bin, the files are not completely removed, but still present on the hard disk. It's just a matter of finding the right software which can read those files and recover them. One such application is Undelete Wizard. As the name clearly states, this Windows application was specially designed for reversing the deletion process and recovering a lost file back to the hard disk, in its original state.

After installing this program, the user will notice that the program's functionality doesn't only resume to recovering deleted files, as it also allows creating images from any hard disk partition or optical disc, in the DSK or IMG file formats. In order to recover lost files from the hard disk, the user will only need to run the special step by step wizard, accessible from the top menu, and follow the necessary steps. As such, he has to select the partition where the desired file was located and also customize the type of files that should be found, for narrowing the search results and for reducing the time required to find the deleted files.

At this point, Undelete Wizard will start looking for deleted files and will list all of them in its interface, in the same manner as displaying files in Windows Explorer. Creating image files is as simple as recovering lost data, as the user will only need to select the desired partition or optical drive and then enter a name for the image. Unfortunately, there is no option for creating an image file from specific data located on the hard disk or on an optical disc. After the image has been created, mounting it can be also performed using Undelete Wizard, for viewing its contents.
